Halloween Haunted Forest Chocolate Gateau


This rich, dark, indulgent chocolate cake using Food Thoughts cocoa powder is the perfect centrepiece for a Halloween feast. Thick, silky chocolate ganache fragranced with rosemary and a light chocolate sponge flavoured with cardamom evoke the green, bosky scents of cool, dark woodland, and the whole thing is topped with edible toadstools and mushrooms.    As befits a showstopper, this cake requires a bit of time in the kitchen – but none of the stages are too tricky for a beginner, so don’t be intimidated!
