Trust us, it’s not just delicious; it’s a comforting warm hug on chilly days.
Now, we’re not handing you a strict recipe here, just showing you how effortlessly you can whip up a heavenly mug of hot chocolate in the microwave using Food Thoughts Organic Cocoa Powder or our decadent Food Thoughts Dark Chocolate Chips (containing 70% cacao solids). We firmly believe that using top-notch ingredients transforms the entire culinary experience. It’s not just about taste; it’s about nourishing both body and mind. Did you know those pre-mixed chocolate powders often pack in too much sugar, overshadowing the true benefits of chocolate? Don’t compromise on quality; your body and mind deserve the best.
Follow these simple steps, and voila, you’ve got yourself a ‘superdrink’ – delicious, invigorating, and oh-so-cozy. And if you’re leaning towards a more ‘mature,’ less sweet, dark chocolate vibe, give Food Thoughts Organic Cacao Powder or our Pure Cacao Melts (containing 100% cacao solids) a whirl. Just a heads up, you might want to play around with the sugar level to find your sweet spot. ☕️
You will need
If you're using Cocoa or Cacao Powder: Mix a 1-2 tsp of powder (to taste) with a splash of milk in a microwaveable cup / jug and warm through until powder appears to melt and blends into the milk. Top up with milk, stir, then put back into the microwave to heat all the way through. Stir and sprinkle with sieved powder to finish. Note: Food Thought powders do not contain any sugar. You can adjust the sweetness levels by adding some sugar and mixing.
If you're using chocolate chips or melts: Food Thoughts Pure Cacao Melts contain no sugar; so your drink will be a more bitter, even purer chocolate tasting drink. Put a handful of Cacao Melts or Dark Chocolate Chips into a microwaveable cup / jug and warm through until melted, stir in the milk, heat (and stir) until smooth and velvety. If you want to increase the amount of chocolate, simply melt some more discs and pour in as required. Note: Adjust the sweetness levels by adding some sugar and mixing. Taste and adjust.
Relax and enjoy!
