This smoothie has protein, complex carbohydrates, healthy fats and antioxidants. In other words, everything you need to refuel and power your day. The addition of avocado as a source of healthy fats is a great way to improve satiety, and also aids digestion of other key nutrients. Note: If youβre not a fan of avocado, try swapping it for a tablespoon of coconut yoghurt or nut butter.
You will need
- 1 frozen banana sliced
- 1/4 a small avocado cubed
- 1-2 tbsp vanilla protein (any protein that suits you)
- Large handful of spinach washed
- 2-3 fresh mint leaves washed
- 1 tbsp roasted cacao nibs
- 250 ml coconut milk
- Handful of ice cubes
Method
Put all your ingredients into a food processor or a blender, then process until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and enjoy.
