At Food Thoughts, we believe in giving bakers more control. Our decadently rich Organic Cocoa Powder is just that. 100% natural without any added sugar, additives or flavourings. We use a mix of Criollo, Trinitario and Forastero - the Holy Trinity of cocoa beans - to bring real depth to the flavour. And we only lightly alkalise our cocoa, which means it retains more of its nutrients, making it the ideal unsweetened cocoa powder for baking. All the beans used for our Organic Cocoa Powder are classed as ‘fino de aroma’. Only around 8% of the cocoa produced in the world makes the grade, based on their exquisite aroma and flavour profile. The beans are harvested in the Dominican Republic and sun dried for up to 14 days to lock in their flavour and nutrients. The beans are then roasted, finely ground and blended to make the perfect cocoa powder for baking. This is a delicious, dark, sugar-free, 100% pure cocoa powder – so it’s your choice what to add to it. And our Organic Cocoa Powder isn’t just better for bakers.
