These Chocolate Almond Date Bites are a delicious, healthy snack that’s packed with antioxidants, healthy fats, and protein. To give them their chocolate hit, this recipe opts for cacao rather than chocolate. This way you can control the sugar content of these bites and ensure you pack in antioxidants and iron from the cacao. Katie has used Food Thoughts Organic Cacao Powder, which is naturally prepared and non-alkalised, so it retains more antioxidants, iron, potassium, and calcium than other brands. It also contains loads more natural goodies from which your body can benefit.
These Chocolate Almond Date Bites are utterly delicious, so you can enjoy an indulgent treat while fuelling your body with goodness! Ideal as post-workout snacks and mini-pick-me-ups during the day. For an equally nutritious breakfast, try our Chocolate, Almond and Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl.
